Sunflowers just ooze sunshine to me

They are so bold

and happy

There are few things better than watching a good friend marry the love of her life.  Last weekend was one of those times.  Brandi and Cody got married last Saturday and it was a beautiful wedding.  They decided to get married in Vegas…great decision by the way!  It was a lot of fun and I know all the guests enjoyed every minute of it.  Here are a few photos to tide you over until the full post.

Congratulations to Brandi & Cody…may you celebrate many years of happiness & love!  Also may you celebrate your anniversaries in Vegas and invite us all to come back with you! 🙂  Mostly, thanks for letting me be a part of your day!

I had a great weekend. Despite the fact that I drove 15 hours round-trip to get to Southern Illinois,  my trip was relaxing…fun…and involved lots of my favorite things:

Campfires:

My Man:

And old decrepit buildings:

There was also 4-wheeling (oh how I love 4-wheeling!), good friends, & lots of food, but I was too busy taking pictures of the old decrepit buildings to get  pictures of the other stuff!  Hope your weekend was great too.

Meet Colin…

Isn’t he cute! I mean…just look at those eyes.  I can’t get over how blue they are.  We  hung out for a few hours one early Sunday morning.  We laughed…he played…I bribed.  It was a typical session with a 5 1/2 year old!

He is such a little heart-breaker…Just look how sweet he is!

Hugs & Kisses for Mom!

Like all kids…I had to use a little bribery.  Although it didn’t take much.  The hugs & kisses … he didn’t even hesitate (I told you he was a sweet heart!).  But I gave him a treat anyways….a popsicle…full of sugar…at 10am.  Then I packed up and left…Sorry!  Gotta do what you gotta do!

Last weekend I spent some time with Travis & Stephanie taking a few engagement photos.

I’m working on finishing them up….but I couldn’t wait to share these few!

We took pictures in all my favorite locations…farms, barns, and old brick buildings!

I just love the dramatic lighting and the black & white treatment for this one.  I also love what we found while shooting in this barn…

Yes that is an old tandem bike!  I jumped up and down and squealed when I saw that in the barn.  Travis kept asking me if I really wanted to bring it outside to use it….Ummm yes please!

Aren’t they so cute?  And so easy to shoot too…Thanks guys!  I’m looking forward to finishing up your photos (& posting them here as soon as I can.) Congratulations on your engagement!
