Archives for the month of: September, 2011

Time for a little baby love on the ol’ blog. I’ve had a handful of newborn sessions in the past month starting with Baby K & just realized I haven’t blogged any of the photos – shame on me! Luckily for you, my lack of previous posts means lots of adorable babies to come! Baby A was sweet & sleepy through the whole session….kind of a photographer’s dream. She just let me pose away and barely fussed.  This meant lots of sweet & sleepy photos = jackpot!! Here’s some of my favorites!

This next one might be a front-runner for my most favorite of the session!

Ok or so maybe these next 2 are my favorites

Can you blame me for not being able to make up my mind? She’s so adorable!

Thanks to Kirby & Tom for letting me invade their house and take photos of their brand new, sweet girl for a few hours! She’s perfect in every way & I can’t wait to watch her grow.

This weekend I traveled to the Lake of the Ozarks for an incredibly beautiful wedding! Great weather…great couple…great wedding!  As soon as I got home (1 hour ago) I started pouring through the photos & picked out a few of my early favorites to share! There will be lots more of this wedding coming soon… Congrats again Mr. & Mrs. Mascote. I’m so happy for you & want to say thanks again for letting me play such an important part of your day!

Lys – You were STUNNING!! Way to make my job easy!

And finally one of my MOST favoritest (like that’s a real word)…Right after the ceremony the clouds parted just a bit & the most incredible sun starting pouring through the break in the clouds.  This means SUNFLARE & one of the first photos of the couple after they were officially married!!  I’m LOVING this one!

Lyssa & Cipi are getting married in 2 days!!!  I’m so SO excited about their wedding – I can’t even begin to tell you! Lys and I have been friends for a really long time and I can’t wait for her to marry Cipi…but before we get to that, I wanted to show you a few engagement pictures I took of them about a month ago.

To me this photo captures Lyssa & Cipi perfectly. For those of you who haven’t met them… they are so fun & loving & they laugh – a lot – so catching them mid-laugh was really my goal.

This next photo is one of my favorites – ummm are they not the cutest couple ever!!

Lyssa & Cipi – I’m so excited to be at your wedding in a few days. It’s kind of hard to believe that it’s actually happening. Wasn’t it just a few weeks ago that we were having sleep-overs & “beeping” each other on the phone? I’ve been waiting for this day for a long time & couldn’t be happier for the two of you. Thanks so much for trusting me enough to capture your big day & thanks for letting me take a few engagement pictures!

Weeks ago when it was crazy hot & sweaty…remember that? Well Michelle, Jeffrey & I were hanging out downtown taking engagement pictures. I was sweating (gross) while Michelle & Jeffrey were looking cute! Side note – How does that always happen? I’m always sweating profusely while the people I’m taking pictures of look gorgeous and sweat-free. Hmm…

Anyway. These pictures have been a long time coming (sorry you guys!) But I’m so excited to share these with you, so here we go!

 Good looking couple right?

This summer I wanted to try some new shooting techniques.  One of those was to shoot through leaves/branches/trees or something similar & nature-y.  Well lucky for me Michelle & Jeffrey were up for anything and there just so happened to be a tree nearby.  The next photo the result & I’m so so excited how it turned out!

Fun right?

Now these next photos do pain me a little to post…see I’m a Cubs fan, and it’s hard enough to live near St. Louis & to live with a Cardinals fan…now my blog is being taken over by Busch Stadium photos.  But I aim to please…and Michelle & Jeffrey wanted photos in their Cardinals gear, so here ya go.

Michell & Jeffrey – Congratulations again! I’m so excited for you two! Thank you so much for letting me take your pictures & be so very patient with me while I got them finished & posted. I had a lot of fun & I hope you guys like the photos!
